This policy explains what personal information Bexley collects through this website, why we collect it, how we look after it and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

  • Squarespace, which hosts this website, stores form submissions and provides site analytics.
  • Google Workspace, which provides our business email and documents.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by approved safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with professional advisers such as our accountant or solicitor.

How long we keep it

  • Register interest details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 24 months after Bexley launches unless you stay in touch with us.
  • Emails and trade enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep business records for as long as the law requires (normally 6 years).
  • Analytics data: in line with Squarespace's analytics retention settings.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses:

  • Essential cookies that make the site and the sign-up form work, and remember your cookie choice. These do not need your consent.
  • Analytics cookies from Squarespace that help us understand how the site is used. These are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it;
  • ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us.

To use any of these rights, email jason@bexleyappliances.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

Keeping your information safe

We use reputable providers with strong security, keep access to your information limited to the people who need it, and protect our accounts with two-step verification.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
